I have a B.A. Honours Degree in Psychology from the Open University and also hold a Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling (Dip CPC). I trained with the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis - Bristol (classroom based), and now hold Diplomas in Hypnotherapy (DHP - Solution-focussed) and Hypnoanalysis, plus Anxiety Specialty certification. More Recently I gained a diploma in Congitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBT Hyp) that is recognised at NVQ 4 level by ncfe.
I am a Registered Senior Hypnotherapist on the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), and entitled to use the industry-based award: Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (SQHP). I am also a member of two other major hypnotherapy organisations: Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP), accredited member and supervisor; and National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).
I am a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners. You can also find me in The Uk Directory of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO).
I conform to the highest ethical standards and am conscientious in my duty of care to my clients at all times, which includes carrying full professional insurance. I also have an up to date CRB disclosure.
Before going into full time clinical practice I gained many years experience working for a national mental health charity, as well as the learning support department of a FE college.
In total I have around 20 years combined study and experience in the treatment and understanding of emotional, anxiety and mental disorders.
